Duncan, SC- Ronnie Lee Brown, II, 46, Intrepid Jedi Master, left this world on Saturday, September 15, 2018, surrounded by his family and friends. He fought bravely against a swift and horrible cancer. Ronnie was the husband of Bonnie Brown.    Born May 27, 1972 in Spartanburg, SC, Ronnie was the son of Janet Godfrey and the late Ronnie Lee Brown. He lived life on his own terms and died by them. He loved his family and thought of his friends as brothers and sisters. Though related by marriage, Ronnie and his step sons were sangre (blood). Ronnie loved the beach above all other places. He enjoyed outdoor adventures in the mountains, rivers, and waterfalls. Ronnie lived for March Madness, and passed away on his favorite day, college game day. He was the owner and operator of a sports-themed business, Tailgatorz.com. He was a fantastic cook, passionate about music, loved chasing snow and always dreamed of a white Christmas. His passing has left a void in many hearts that will be impossible to fill. In addition to his mother and beloved wife, Ronnie is survived by his step children, Justin Lawrentz of Campobello, SC, Tyler Lawrentz and his wife, Tressa, of Moore, SC, and Caleb Crocker of the home; his step father, Frank Godfrey of Moore, SC; his sisters, Christina Godfrey and Haley Brown, both of Spartanburg, SC; maternal grandparents, Charles and Doris Robertson of Moore, SC; a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and his faithful dog, Becca. In addition to his father, Ronnie was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Joe and Emma Brown. A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 20th, 3:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Foundation for Cancer Research, Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer Research Fund, 5515 Security Lane, Suite 1105, Rockvile, MD 20852.
