Roebuck, SC- Rose Ann passed away peacefully on March 31st, 2021. She was born in Wilmington, NC, September 29, 1948 and was the oldest daughter of the late Ray Adger and Alene Merritt Earnhardt; and the wife of James N. Millar. Rose Ann grew up in Roebuck, SC and attended Dorman High School and Clemson University. She settled not far from home residing in Moore, SC, with her loving husband, Jim, and their treasured pets. She enjoyed her friends, family, pets, time at the beach, cooking, and sculpting. She had many hobbies and interests and multiple talents and abilities. Rose Ann was a devout member of the Roman Catholic Church and loved her family and friends deeply. She found good in everyone, and was always so kind, caring, giving, and thoughtful. She was loved by all who knew her. To know her was to love her. Rose Ann had a passion for life and lived it to the fullest. She is survived by the love of her life, husband James N. Millar originally from Boston, MA; and three children, Brian (Sherry) Thornton, Dennis (Shelley Castro) Thornton, and Delana (Marcus) Thornton Russell; and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by three siblings, Adger Earnhardt, Franklin Earnhardt, and Tammy Earnhardt DeBorde. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 3rd, 10:00-10:45AM at Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. Graveside services will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens at 11:00AM, 3901 S Church St. Ext, Roebuck, SC 29376. In lieu of flowers you can donate to the MS society or charity of your choice.
