Pauline, SC- Roy Scott Shreve, 57, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 7, 2020. Born March 19, 1963 in Orlando, FL, Scott was a son of Sherry Maxine Shreve Oliver (Doyle) of Spartanburg. Scott has left his mark on this world through his extraordinary ability to grant peoples dreams of having beautiful cabinetry. He started his 40 year career in woodworking at Triangle Fixture and Millwork in Raleigh NC. Although through the years he has refined his woodworking skills through a number of his closest friends, his father taught him more than any one man could ever remember. Scott poured his heart into his work. Although woodworking was a great passion of his, he never let an opportunity to hit Lake Monticello pass him by for a trip to catch a monster catfish. He was a man of simplicity who enjoyed any opportunity to spend time with family and friends. Anyone who knew Scott said he always talked about how proud he was of his children and that his kids were his greatest accomplishment. Scott had his struggles, but never was a man to shy away from being there for anyone who needed him. Even if Scott Shreve is not with us here today in person we all know he is here in spirit. Scott is survived by his daughter Kristen McElhaney (Jamie) and son Brandon Shreve (Tracy) of Spartanburg; He was blessed with four grandchildren Gracelyn and Cooper McElhaney, Callen and Case Shreve of Spartanburg; Siblings Tammy Clayton (Mike) of Woodruff, Tim Shreve of Spartanburg, Chris Shreve of Raleigh NC, Ivan McPeters (Barbra) of Inman, Micah Israel (Amber) of Boiling Springs; Scott is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Roy Roscoe Shreve of Raleigh NC Funeral services will be held Friday, September 11th, 11:00AM at Dunbar Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
