Rubye Corinne Danley

Rubye Corinne Danley passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the age of 80. She was born July 16, 1943, to the late Virginia Laura Wilson and Willie B. Humphrey. She was the widow of the late Charles Lee Danley. Corinne graduated from the University of South Carolina and then pursued her true love of caring for her family and anyone in need. She was passionate about sharing the love of Christ in as many ways as possible. Corinne was an avid member of the Red Hat Society and many volunteer organizations. She found great joy in making care packages for Soldier’s Angels and knitting items for Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas and Gibbs Cancer Center. Corinne is survived by her daughter, Terri Danley of Spartanburg, SC; her son, Charles Lee Danley II of Dunwoody, GA; her grandchildren, Elizabeth “LJ” Joyner, Michael Joyner, and Kristina M. Danley; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Bambi Lynn Joyner; her brother, Joseph Hubbell; and her sister, Virginia Morse. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00pm on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church, 2575 Reidville Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301. Reception will immediately follow the service in the Church. Interment will follow at 2:00pm in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
