Rudy Dale Huntley

Spartanburg, SC- Rudy Dale Huntley, 76, of Spartanburg, passed away on October 9, 2023. Born November 21, 1946 in Forest City, NC, he was a son of the late James Baxter and Ruby Faye Weathers Huntley. Rudy was a Plant Manager with International Wire Group. He was a member of Church at The Mill, where he enjoyed serving with the safety team and as an usher. Prior to his membership at Church at The Mill, Rudy was a long-time member and deacon at Arcadia First Baptist Church. He was also a member of Arcadia Masonic Lodge #285. Rudy loved fishing, especially with his son, Todd, and his grandson. He was a family man, but above all he was a Christian. His walk with Jesus was very important to him. Rudy felt called to go on many mission trips and his love for Jesus led him to minister to those around him in his daily life. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Karen Silvey Huntley; children, Todd Huntley (Ashley) of Inman and Kim Best (Martin) of Spartanburg; and grandchildren, Lily Ellison Best, Logan Huntley Golightly, Ellie Grace Best, Gibson Huntley, Ella Huntley, and Emma Huntley. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, William Parris, Mike Huntley, and Barbara Ann Pangle Huntley. Funeral services will be held 11:00am on Friday, October 13, 2023 in The Chapel of Church at The Mill, 4455 Anderson Mill Road, Moore, SC 29369, officiated by Rev. Joey Burnett and Rev. Gene Pace. Visitation will follow at the Church. Burial will be at 2:00pm in Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church Street Ext, Roebuck, SC 29376.
