Ruth Elizabeth McLin

Moore, SC- Ruth Elizabeth McLin, 77, died Saturday, July 29, 2017. Born August 22, 1939 in Silver Spring, MD, she was a daughter of the late Hubert Leroy and Grace Stout. Ruth was a graduate of the University of Florida, majoring in Physical Education. For 30 years before her retirement, she served as a teacher in the Gaffney school system, volleyball coach at Limestone College, and Vice Principal of Boiling Springs High School. Ruth was a member of Rock Presbyterian Church in Laurens, SC and actively involved with the Laurens YMCA. Ruth is survived by her son, Larry McLin and his wife, Wendy, of Virginia Beach, VA; granddaughter, Megan McLin; brother in-law, Art Romer of Wilmington, NC; two nieces, Karen Johnson and Karryl Dowd; and nephews, David and Darryl Romer. She was predeceased by her sister, Grace Romer. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 19th, 1PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
