Sandra "Sandy" Lynn Hicks

Spartanburg- Sandra Lynn “Sandy” Hicks, 56, beloved wife of 36 years of Larry J. Hicks passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House after fighting a long valent battle against cancer. Born in Columbia, SC on August 7, 1960, Sandy was a daughter of “Bubba” Godwin and the late Annie Clark Greenlee.  She was a graduate of Clio High School, class of 1978.  Sandy worked as a warehouse manager for Spartan Undies; Beresford Box; and Southern States Packaging.  She was a faithful member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg, In addition to her husband, Sandy is survived by daughters Kali Solomon (Jeremey) and Kala Burrell (Cole); a brother Michael Godwin all of Spartanburg.  She also leaves behind a nephew, five grandchildren and many other relatives. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 13, from 12:00 to 1:15PM at the Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00PM at Trinity Presbyterian Church; 500 Oak Grove Road officiated by Reverend Andrew Dionne.  A Private burial will follow. The family will be at the home.
