Sharon Black Harper

December 1, 1955 — March 14, 2021

The world lost a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Sharon Black Harper, 65, of Moore, S.C. passed away on March 14, 2021 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 1, 1955 in Norfolk, VA to the late Kenneth Edward and Christine Bowen Black, the baby of ten siblings. Sharon valiantly battled cancer for 32 years, which gave her a strength that could give comfort, hugs that enveloped you in love, and a contagious laugh that could brighten anyone’s day. As an avid reader of her many books, she also had her guilty pleasures of games shows and reality TV. Although she enjoyed working in her yard, her greatest pleasure came from spending time with her children and grandchildren. Throughout her career, Sharon made many friends and took great pride in her work at Edward Jones. Her work family knew her as a kind soul that had a gift for conversation. Sharon is survived by her son, Adrian Harper and his wife, Amy; daughters, Dana Wilkins and her husband, Waverly: and Jaime Davis and her husband, Danny; and five grandchildren Ava and Camryn Harper, Wyatt Wilkins, and Nathan and Emily Davis. In addition, she has five surviving siblings. Preceding her in death, her beloved husband Thomas A. Harper and four siblings. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice at Spartanburg Regional Foundation.
