Sharon Bennett Glenn, 71, of Spartanburg, South Carolina lost her battle with Parkinson’s and went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 17, 2023.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Dwight Alexander Bennett and VanDora Wood Bennett and also a brother, Eddie D. Bennett, Sr. Survivors include a brother, Larry A. Bennett; former husband, David M Glenn; and daughters, Dori Leigh Glenn (Grant), Meredith Glenn Archibald (Scott), Shana Glenn Poe (Nelson); and 6 grandchildren, Ruby, Abe, Crawford, Grayson, Bennett, and Walker.
She was a graduate of University of South Carolina with a teaching degree and masters plus. She dedicated her life to teaching in Spartanburg County District 6 and raising her 3 daughters. She was a devout Christian and member of First Baptist North Spartanburg where she was involved in their choir for many years. Sharon was very active as she enjoyed soccer, softball, and basketball. She remained active later in life with golf, tennis, and chasing her grandchildren until her diagnosis with Parkinson’s.
The family will receive friends at Dunbar Funeral Home from 12:00-2:00 pm on Friday, March 24th. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm in the Chapel. Burial for family and close friends will be held in Sunset Memorial Park.
