Shirley Simmons Peake

Shirley S. Peake Pauline, SC- Shirley Simmons Peake, 71, wife of the late Jerald Lam Peake, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Born June 24, 1950 in Spartanburg, SC, Shirley was a daughter of the late Robert and Virginia Ruth Townsend Simmons. She received her Associate degree from USC Upstate in Nursing. Shirley was employed as a Surgical Tech with Spartanburg Regional and also with Dr. Habib for many years and taught nursing at Spartanburg Technical College. After her retirement, she worked as a book keeper for Jerry Peake Builders with her husband, Jerry. Shirley and Jerry were devoted members of Calvary Episcopal Church and served there for many years. She is survived by her sons, Andy Peake (Angela) of Pauline, SC and Tommy Peake (Lisa) of Land O Lakes, FL; her grandchildren, Drew, Alex, Emily, and Ansley; a brother, Jerry Simmons (Crystal); and a sister, Pat Smith (Bill), both of Pauline, SC. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 26th, 11:00AM at Calvary Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery and receive friends at the graveside.
