Sylvia Moss Anderson

Sylvia Moss Anderson Spartanburg – Sylvia Moss Anderson, 83, wife of the late Joseph Lee Anderson, died Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Sylvia was born on April 16, 1934 to the late Pierce Clement and Ollie Mae Montjoy Moss. She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, class of 1952. Sylvia was a vault custodian at Commercial National Bank and a Teletype Operator at Lyman Printing & Finishing. She was a member of Nazareth Presbyterian Church. Sylvia is survived by three daughters, Joy Anderson Deer (Kim P Pettit) of Spartanburg, Lisa Anderson Graham of Roebuck, Velvet A. Anderson (Charles Sparks) of Gaffney; two sons, Joseph Lee Anderson II of Spartanburg, Neil Anderson (Tracy Neale Anderson) of Moore; and a sister, Margaret Moss Bridges of Spartanburg. She was blessed with six grandchildren, Joseph Anderson III, Caroline Elizabeth Graham, Dalton, Skyler, Spencer, and Addison Anderson; and one great-granddaughter, Lilly Nicole Anderson. In addition to her husband, Sylvia was predeceased by a brother, Pierce Clement Moss II.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Nazareth Presbyterian Church.  Immediately following the interment, the family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall.
