Taylor Sexton

Taylor Sexton, 66, of Roebuck, SC passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024. He was born in Spartanburg, SC on January 2, 1958 to the late Jimmie Sexton (June) and Rosalie Williams Sexton.

He retired from Crown Cork & Seal Co. after many years as a lift operator. Taylor was a loving, honest, great man and a hardworking role-model for his children and grandchildren. His grandchildren were his heart; he truly lived for his family. He loved antiquing, playing chess and bingo, and was of the Baptist faith.

Taylor is survived by his wife, Donna Pruitt Sexton; children, Tory Dowling (Mark), Jammy S. Sexton, and Robbie Sexton (Samantha); grandchildren, Justin Dowling, Austin Dowling (Carly), Caleb Sexton, Kayli Sexton, Morgan Sexton, Alyssa Dowling, Zach Sexton, Emily Sexton, Kenzie Sexton, and Colton Sexton; great-grandchildren, Tobias Chandler and Harrison Bennett; and siblings, Mary Gabriel (Mike), Robert Sexton (Sandy), Barbara Fuller (Dennis), James Sexton (Marilyn), and Holly Grogan. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, David Connor Sexton; and siblings, Bill Sexton, Denny Sexton, Louise McGlocalin, Aline Russel, and Gladis Sexton.

Visitation will be 1:00-1:45pm on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3000 Stone Station Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. Funeral services will follow in the church at 2:00pm, conducted by Rev. Craig Davidson.

Private burial will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
