Thomas Andrew Killoren

February 16, 1931 — August 27, 2022

Thomas A. Killoren, Sr. PC beloved husband of the late Lesley J. Killoren, dear father to Tracy Ann Chadwell JD, Thomas A Killoren, Jr. JD, and Kelly Killoren Bensimon; and six grandchildren, passed on Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Killoren, born in Oak Park, Illinois, February 16, 1931, was the brother to Edward W. Killoren, Jr., and Glenn A. Killoren. Killoren had an esteemed career. In 1952, Killoren graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting with University honors 1952 Juris Doctor 1959, and Member, Bronze Tablet. He was also a Member of Phi Alpha Delta Gamma Sigma. He served as an Officer in the Navy from 1952-1956. He became a certified accountant in Illinois in 1957, and in 1959 was admitted to the bar and was a practiced as a corporate attorney, in estate planning, and tax law. He worked at Gardner Carton and Douglas, and Arthur Anderson in Chicago Illinois, before raising his family in Rockford, Illinois and joining Conde, Stoner, Buecshel, and Calgaro, and later his own practice, where he was partner, at Conde, Stoner, and Killoren- the firm specialized in the field of Trial and Appellate Practice, State and Federal Courts, Labor Relations ( Management), Insurance Defense, Commercial Litigation, and Bankruptcy. He continued his corporate and tax practice at this firm and also was the attorney for the Rochelle School District from 1982-1985. Killoren was listed as a reputable lawyer by Martindale- Hubbell. He was a member of the Rockford, Illinois Rotary and Rockford Country Club for 50 years. Killoren was respected and adored by everyone he met.

Thomas Killoren prided himself on the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. He will be forever missed.

The family will have private ceremony to celebrate his life at a later date.
