Moore, SC- Thomas Smith “Tommy” Oliver, 55, husband of Jacquelyn “Kay” Steward Oliver, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 6, 2018. Born October 19, 1962 in Spartanburg, SC, Tommy was a son of George Huntley Oliver and the late Nancy Marie Swofford Oliver. He was a graduate of Spartanburg Technical College, class of 1984, and worked for many years as a sign designer, fabricator, and shop manager with Skyvision Signs. Tommy was a lifelong, dedicated member of Croft Baptist Church where he served as Choir Director and Deacon. He was also a member of the Christian singing group, New Beginnings. Above all other things, Tommy loved God, his family, and his church. In addition to his wife, Kay, Tommy is survived by his daughters, Lindsey Kay Oliver Kuykendall (Matthew) and Leah Anne Oliver Dimery (Tyler); his brother, Kent Oliver (Terri); and his sister, Janet von Kolnitz (David). The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 10th, 11:00AM until 12:00noon at Croft Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 noon, officiated by Reverend Michael Bradley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Croft Baptist Church, Building Fund, 4190 E. Croft Circle, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
