Timmie Stapleton

Timmie Stapleton, age 72, of Chesnee, SC passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024. Born on March 13, 1951, she was the youngest daughter of the late James Monroe and Hester Duncan Lovinggood. Born in Spartanburg, Timmie graduated from Dorman High School. She enrolled in Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing and then became a valued nurse in the Spartanburg community. She served her patients well for over 20 years. Timmie was baptized at Una Free Will Baptist Church. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and Memaw to her two daughters and five grandchildren. Timmie is survived by her husband, Barry Lamar Stapleton; daughters, Dana Record (Raymond) and Heather Pittillo (Edwin); grandchildren, Mikayla Smith, Noah Henderson, Tanner Smith, Duncan Pittillo, and Maelani Pittillo; and brother, Dennis Lovinggood. She was predeceased by five brothers and four sisters. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Brooklyn CME Church, 130 Brooklyn Church Road, Chesnee, SC 29323. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
