Velvet Ann Anderson

Gaffney, SC- Velvet Ann Anderson, 56, wife of Charlie Sparks, died suddenly on Friday, November 23, 2018. Born December 20, 1961 in Spartanburg, SC, Velvet was a daughter of the late Joseph Lee and Sylvia Moss Anderson. She was a lover of the outdoors and could be found in her garden, tending her horses, or enjoying the company of her dogs. Velvet has been a member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Charlie, Velvet is survived by her step sons, Calton Sparks of Welford, SC and Seth Sparks of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Joseph Lee Anderson, II of Lyman, SC and Peter Neil Anderson (Tracy) of Moore, SC; two sisters, Joy Anderson Deer (Kim Pettit) of Spartanburg, SC and Lisa Anderson Graham of Roebuck, SC; and six nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 29th, 11:00AM at Nazareth Presbyterian Church, officiated by Reverend Martin Hogg and Reverend Julie Schaaf. The family will receive friends following the burial in the church cemetery.
