Inman, SC- Verna Maanika Githens, 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 6, 2017. Born January 11, 1921 in Calumet, MI, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Saima E. Tammi Maanika. Verna is survived by her daughter, Monica G. Hill; sons, Frederic C. Githens (Eileen), Jefferey S. Githens (Libby), and Monroe J. Githens (Susan); grandchildren, Nicholas and Elizabeth Githens; and her adopted granddaughter, Courtney Bramlette. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 12th, 11AM at St. John Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
