Virginia Poole McKinney

Spartanburg, SC- Virginia Poole McKinney, 89, wife of the late John Russell McKinney, died Monday, March 19, 2018, peacefully at her home. Born December 30, 1928 in Spartanburg, SC, Virginia was a daughter of the late Walter and Margaret Ivey Poole. She was a beloved member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Suzanne M. Searson (Bill) of Spartanburg, SC; her son, John R. McKinney (Joyce) of Roanoke, AL; grandchildren, John R. McKinney, IV (Tammy) and Will McKinney (Julie); and great granddaughter, Caroline McKinney. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 22nd, 10-11AM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the Chapel at 11AM, officiated by Reverend Sal Barone. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 901 S. Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
