W. Lee Staggs

Spartanburg, SC- Wilton Lee Staggs, 36, husband of Wendy D. Staggs and the only child of Kay Thomas Staggs Lee, died Monday, April 3, 2017. In addition to his beloved wife and mother, Lee is survived by his grandmother, Etta Thomas; aunts, uncles, and cousins, Shirley Thomas, Paul Thomas, Norma O’Shields (Wesley), Leslie O’Shields, Tiffany Dabney, and Jessica Wingo; mother in-law, Lynn Wooten (James); grandmother in-law, Pauline Jackson; sister in-law, Virginia James (Brian); niece, Mya Patterson; and his three canine companions, Roxy, Lilly, and Gidgett. He was predeceased by his step father, John B. Lee, III; and his father, Wilton Staggs, Jr. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 6th, 4PM at the Salvation Army Community Center, 40 Foster Street, Spartanburg, SC 29301, officiated by Reverend McKrae Game. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
