William “Newton” Foster, Sr. of Pauline, SC passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the age of 67. He was born in Spartanburg on August 18, 1956 to the late Carl and Emmie Tucker Foster.
Newton was a hardworking outdoorsman. He loved hunting, especially deer. He was a butcher and welder by trade. Newton was talented, making his own bushhog and trailers.
He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Lynn Smith Foster; son, William “Newt” Foster, Jr.; daughter, Cynthia Dianne Foster (Matt Floyd); grandchildren, Anthony Langevin, Jacob Langevin, Jonathan Langevin, and Caleb MacRae; and best friend and honorary brother, Greg Carver. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Emmie Page; and brothers, Carl Foster, Jr., Billy Foster, James Foster, J.D. Foster, David Foster, and Robert Foster.
Visitation will be 1:00-1:45pm on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Buffalo, SC. Memorial services will follow in the church at 2:00pm, conducted by Rev. Norman Band.
