William Eugene Greaves

Greenville_ William E Greaves, 89 passed away on March 2, 2018 at Shepherd’s Care Center. Born in Washington DC on July 18, 1928, he was the son of the late Gene and Hannah Greaves. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Stirling. Bill graduated from Bob Jones University, then started the Broadcast Engineering Department where he taught for 40 years. His passion and love for missions, especially missionary radio, influenced many of his students to go to the mission field as a result. He also served as chief engineer for WMUU for 25 years.He is survived by his 3 children, Paul, Cindy & Tim; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by 2 grandsons, a daughter-in-law, and his brother Carl.A memorial service will be held March 10, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Hampton Park Baptist Church, 875 State Park Road, Greenville SC 29609. Visitation will follow at the church.Please omit flowers and make any memorials to the mission work of one of his students, Paul Zimmer, in YAP.
