William “Craig” Kirkland (Luba) of Moore was called home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2022. He was born on May 18, 1955 in Spartanburg S.C. and was the middle son to Harvey W. Kirkland and the late Bobbie Jean Kirkland. He was a beloved son, father, friend and most of all, grandfather.
Craig graduated Dorman High School in 1973, then attended USC Upstate and Spartanburg Community College before working his career at the family business of W.N.Kirkland, Inc. He was a Master Plumber and transitioned into HVAC where he installed many different types of industrial mechanical systems for over 40 years. He was also a very skilled metal worker. Craig was of the Baptist faith and a member of Roebuck Baptist Church. He loved sketching in his books, watching Notre Dame football, working in his garden, and most of all spending time with his family. He would drop anything for someone in need of his help. He enjoyed studying and reading the history of American wars and battles.
Craig is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Jennifer L. Kirkland of Moore, SC; son, Matthew Kirkland (Daena) of Woodruff, SC; daughter, Michelle Garrett of Roebuck, SC; son, Stephen of Moore, SC; father, Harvey W. Kirkland of Roebuck, SC; brothers, Mike Kirkland of Moore, SC, Mark Kirkland of Roebuck, SC; and seven beautiful grandchildren: Reagan, Harper and Paisley Garrett of Roebuck and Ryleigh, Cole, Delanie and Levi of Woodruff. Craig was predeceased by a son, Bradley Kirkland.
A visitation will begin Tuesday, January 3rd, 1:00PM until 1:45PM at Roebuck Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM, officiated by Reverend Dr. Tim Williams.
Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
