William B. Taylor

William B. “Caddy” Taylor, age 96, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024. He was born in Fairforest to the late Sam and Elizabeth Bagwell Taylor on October 28, 1927. William was the widower of Edith Martin Taylor, who preceded him in death in 2013. He attended of Fairforest High School, he honorably served his country in the United States Army. William retired after 37 years of service with Norfolk Southern Railway. In his retirement, he enjoyed residential painting and carpentry. William is survived by his sons, Alan W. Taylor (Sharon) and Marty Taylor (Susan); daughter, Sandra Seiler (Jeff); and grandchildren, Sam Seiler, Lindsay Taylor, and Taylor Thompson. He was predeceased by six brothers and five sisters. Graveside services with military honors will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 2:00pm in Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery, 115 Church Street, Spartanburg, SC, 29301. The family will receive friends in the Church Fellowship Hall following burial. In honor of William, memorial contributions may be made to the Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 338, Fairforest, SC 29336.
